# Configuration

FELYX includes an integrated web-based configuration interface. No configuration software needs to be installed on the user's computer.

The configuration interface can be accessed using either **Wi-Fi** or **Ethernet**, allowing a laptop, tablet or mobile device to configure FELYX directly from a standard web browser.

At every boot, FELYX provides a short **5-second configuration window**. If the Config button is not pressed during this period, FELYX automatically continues into normal operation. This follows the same basic configuration concept used across YuDash devices.

### Enter Configuration Mode

#### Step 1 — Power up FELYX

Power ON or restart the device.

During startup, the OLED displays a countdown of approximately **5 seconds** during which Configuration Mode can be activated.

> **Tip:** No action is required for normal operation. Simply allow the countdown to complete and FELYX will continue with its normal run sequence.

#### Step 2 — Press the Config button

During the countdown, **short-press and release the Config button**.

FELYX will start its local Configuration Server and make the configuration interface available over the supported network interfaces.

> **Important:** Use a short press only. Do not hold the Config button continuously.

#### Step 3 — Configuration Server starts

Once Configuration Mode is activated, FELYX starts its configuration services.

The OLED displays the network information required to connect to the device.

Two connection methods are available:

**Wi-Fi**

* FELYX creates a local Wi-Fi network.
* **SSID:** based on the device number
* **Default Wi-Fi password:** `12345678`
* **Configuration IP:** `192.168.4.1`

**Ethernet**

* FELYX starts the Ethernet configuration server.
* **Configuration IP:** `192.168.2.1`

## Configure through Ethernet

FELYX can be configured using a direct Ethernet connection.

#### 1. Connect the Ethernet cable

Connect the laptop/PC directly to **ETH1** on FELYX.

#### 2. Configure the laptop Ethernet address

During Configuration Mode, FELYX uses the Ethernet address:

`192.168.2.1`

Configure the laptop Ethernet interface with an IP address in the same subnet, for example:

`192.168.2.2`

or another unused address in the `192.168.2.x` range.

This direct-Ethernet method follows the same approach used in the existing YuDash configuration workflow.

#### 3. Open FELYX in the browser

Open a web browser and enter:

`http://192.168.2.1`

The **FELYX Configuration Server login page** will open.

## Configure through Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi configuration is the easy wireless method when using a laptop, tablet or mobile device.

#### 1. Connect to FELYX Wi-Fi

Open the Wi-Fi settings on your laptop, tablet or mobile device and select the Wi-Fi network displayed on the FELYX OLED.

Enter the displayed/default password when requested.

Your device is now connected directly to FELYX.

#### 2. Open the configuration page

Open a web browser and enter:

`http://192.168.4.1`

The **FELYX Configuration Server login page** will open.

> While connected directly to the FELYX configuration Wi-Fi, Internet access on the laptop or mobile device may not be available. This is normal for the local configuration connection.

## Normal Operation

If the Config button is **not pressed during the startup countdown**, FELYX proceeds automatically to normal operation.

During normal operation, the Ethernet interface uses the IP address configured in the device settings.

The **factory-default Ethernet IP shown in your current FELYX flow is:**

`192.168.1.10`

This address is different from the temporary Ethernet configuration address `192.168.2.1`.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Configuration IP vs. Normal IP**\
`192.168.2.1` — Ethernet address used while entering Configuration Mode\
`192.168.1.10` — factory-default Ethernet address during normal operation\
The normal-operation IP can be changed from FELYX Network Settings.
{% endhint %}
