# Cloud Telemetry

Cloud Telemetry defines how data acquired by a YuDash device is transmitted to an **IoT platform, enterprise cloud, on-premise server or other remote application**.

This section covers the **cloud-facing side** of the YuDash IoT data path — from the data logger to the receiving platform or server.

### Understanding the Telemetry Path

The diagram shows the cloud telemetry path from **sensor values to the receiving server or cloud platform**. YuDash first acquires the field data, forms the required payload, and then transmits it through an available network using the selected cloud protocol.

The underlying network may be **Ethernet/LAN, 4G/LTE, Wi-Fi or another supported IP connection**. Network configuration is covered separately under **Network**.

### Cloud Protocols

YuDash supports multiple standard protocols for sending data to external servers and IoT platforms.

In cloud telemetry, the **YuDash device acts as the client/data sender**. It initiates the communication and sends data to the configured broker, server or endpoint.

### Payload

The **payload** defines how the acquired sensor values are packaged before they are transmitted. The payload format is configured according to what the receiving server or platform expects.

YuDash supports configurable **JSON** and **text-based payloads**.
